Beverly ‘Bev’ Wehrle Evans

Beverly "Bev" Wehrle Evans, 77, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Waukesha Springs. She was born June 20, 1930, the daughter of Floyd and Cora (nee Riley) Wehrle.

She was united in marriage to Robert C. Evans, who preceded her in death July 17, 1996. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bev went on to receive a master’s degree in art education. Besides working as an art teacher for many years, she also was art director for the Waukesha Public School System. She was a member of Chi Omega, and also a member and past president of Waukesha Service Club. Bev was also very active with the American Field Service for many years, holding the position of regional director.

Bev will be sadly missed by her son, Bill (Sonia) Evans of Waukesha; grandchildren, Marisol Evans, Sara Evans, Nathan Leuck, Amanda Leuck, Samuel Leuck and Victoria Leuck; great-granddaughter, Abigail; and her brother, James (Kay) Wehrle of Onalaska.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Joan Evans, and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service Friday, Sept. 28, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Wood National Cemetery.
