David J. Schroeder, 44, of Gillett, formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1963, to Charles and Carol (nee OConnor) Schroeder.

On May 18, 1996, David married Sharon Zeise in Gillett.

Dave worked as a union electrician and handyman throughout his life and found great satisfaction in working with tools, hunting and spectator sports. He especially enjoyed NASCAR races and the Green Bay Packers. One of his personal thrills was being one of the electricians on the Lambeau Field remodeling project.

He took much personal pride in his work and his ability to restore engines, equipment and work on his older home. He enjoyed spending time with family when he could and cherished the times when his family was able to visit him. Memorable days in Daves life were those spent with family for cookouts or family gatherings or times spent hunting. Those who were especially dear to Dave were his daughters.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sharon of Gillett; his beloved daughters, Kristen and Jennifer of Gillett; his stepchildren, Wendy, Jeff, Steve and Tom Zeise, all of the Gillett area, for whom Dave provided care and love; his mother, Carol Schroeder of Delafield; his brother, Tom (Marge) Schroeder of Wales; his sister, Nancy (Patrick) Storrs of West Bend; and his father-in-law, James Zeise of Underhill. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
