James F. Makowski

James F. Makowski of Hartland passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, at age 54.
Upon obtaining a bachelorís degree from Concordia University and a masterís degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Jim began working at Buddy Squirrel and Quality Candy as a financial manager. He later assumed the role of remodeling and building new store locations, which led to the founding of his residential home building company in the Lake Country area, West Shore Homes, Inc. Jimís love of the outdoors facilitated the development of a home-based tree nursery, West Shore Nurseries, LLC. An avid outdoorsman and northern Wisconsin conservationist, Jimís life focused around his family, traveling, hunting, fishing and card playing. He was a faithful member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, as well as a member of the Milwaukee Builders Association, Muskies Inc. and Whitetails Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah (nee Withers); his children, Jeffrey and Jean Marie; his mother, Jean (the late Jerry) Makowski; and his siblings, Mary (Art) Helterbran, Ann (Mike) Audley, Michael (Marcia) Makowski, Barbara (Daniel) Hayden, John (Sherry) Makowski, Susan (Louis) Korpal and Steven (Jody) Makowski. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, dear relatives, friends and his companions, Cleo, Barnie and Penny.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Highway 83, North Lake.
In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the MACC Fund or to the church.
