Betty B. Clark

Betty B. Clark (nee Parsons) of Waukesha was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was 100 years old.
Betty was born March 7, 1908, in Bancroft, to Ellsworth and Catherine (nee Neace) Parsons. She was united in marriage to James Clark on July 5, 1935, at First Baptist Church in Waukesha.
Betty worked at the F.W. Woolworth store in Waukesha as an assistant manager and cashier and she also helped her mom run a boarding house.
After graduating from Waukesha County College with a teaching degree, she taught in Almond in Portage County for more than three years. She also worked at Waukesha South High School as a study hall supervisor and food server and cook in the cafeteria.
She lived her entire life in Waukesha, where she and Jim built their dream home. She resided there until she had a slight stroke in 2007. Betty then moved into LindenGrove. Betty was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Waukesha for more than 70 years. She was active in church, serving as a deaconess, president of Judson Circle and a member of Friendly Seniors. Betty was a prayer warrior and prayed daily for her family. ﾒMomﾓ and ﾒGrandmaﾓ will always be remembered for her love of the Lord and her love for her country. Betty voted in every presidential election until last year, due to her health.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean Anderson of Waukesha; her son, James E. Clark of Waukesha; three grandchildren, Robert (Cynthia) Burchell of Marion, Ind., Lisa (David) Shimon-Renn of Waukesha and Kathleen (Dean) Roberts of East Troy; and nine great-grandchildren, Casey, Jordan, Spencer, Robert IV, Mailey, Lauran, Brad, Denver and Logan. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James; three sisters, Rosetta, Sue Ellen, and Freda; and one brother, Franklin.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday, April 18, at First Baptist Church, 247 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. James Carlson and the Rev. Robert Burchell officiating. Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
