Christine A. ‘Chrissy’ Hagen

Christine A. "Chrissy" Hagen of Waukesha died Monday, April 14, 2008, at age 39. Christine was born Dec. 5, 1968, the daughter of John Kenneth and Barbara Mae (nee England) Nelson.
Chrissy married her husband, David, on June 20, 1998. She graduated with a degree in accounting from Waukesha Area Technical College. She had a deep love for animals, enjoyed scrapbooking and selling Avon. Chrissy loved volunteering with United Way, the Special Olympics, the Juvenile Diabetes Association and many other organizations. She loved spending time with her foster kids, family and friends. Chrissy always seemed to find time for everyone.
Chrissy will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, David; foster children, Martin, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Isabella; sister, Chevelle Nelson; nephews, Tony Nelson, Vincent Smith, Estanislado Aleman and Samuel Hagen, who was also her godson; nieces, Melinda and Amanda Smith and Lupe Aleman; great-nephew, Marcos Aleman; godson, Ryan Dorrow; and godparents, Roxanne Stapenek and Gerald Nelson. Chrissy is further survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, dear cousins, relatives and many close friends.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dawn Nelson; grandparents; and her mother- and father-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral Mass on Friday, April 18, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
