Nickolas Lee ‘Pickle’ Kass

Nickolas Lee "Pickle" Kass of Pewaukee died peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2008, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at age 29 following a difficult battle with kidney failure. He was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 7, 1978, the son of Samantha Burnett.

He attended Waukesha West and Brookfield East high schools. Nickolas loved music and especially going to Summerfest and to concerts. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with his family and taking road trips with his brother and friends. Nickolas was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Michigan Wolverines, and liked sports trivia, playing Texas Hold ‘em, and volunteering at the Waukesha County Food Pantry.

He will be sadly missed by his loving mother, Samantha Burnett of Waukesha; his "bro for life," Josh Kass of Waukesha; his dedicated and compassionate "Pop and Gram" Lee and Diane Brahm of Pewaukee; his special aunts, Marion Voigt of Menomonee Falls, Michelle (Chawn) Medema of Milwaukee, Kathy (Larry) Leanna of West Allis and DeeDee (Tom) Hilgendorf of Milwaukee; his uncle, Dan Brahm of Milwaukee; his dear cousin. Jill (Gary) Blawat of Menomonee Falls; and other cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He will be greeted at Heaven’s Gate with open arms by his uncle, Craig Ludwig.

Visitation will be held from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
