Marvin E. Nold

Marvin E. Nold, a longtime Hartland resident and respected businessman, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at age 81.

He served as a U.S. Navy Seabee during World War II. In 1959, he founded and began operating Nold Electric. On June 29, 1957, he married Rosalie J. Hutchinson, who preceded him death in 1996. Marvin was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Hartland Sportsman Club as well as past president of the Hartland Lions Club. He was a proud member of the Hartland American Legion Flanagan Dorn Post 294. In 1938, he bought his first Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Patty Nehs of Watertown, Kevin (Vicki) Nold of Monches and Michelle (Darrell) Jaeger of Saukville; his grandchildren. Jennifer, Jessica, Melanie, Mackenzie, Zachary, Mitchell and Jacob; and his great-grandchildren, Brittany, Alex, Taylor, Payton, Katie and Kyle. He is further survived by his siblings, Bruce (Gertrude) Nold of Oconomowoc, Lavonne Christenson of Hartford and Diane Ryan of Arkansas.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Nold.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4:30 p.m. funeral service Friday, Aug. 15, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Hartland.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Hartland American Legion.
