Jack ‘F.J.’ Kirby

Jack "F.J." Kirby of Waukesha died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at age 87. Jack was born on Jan. 8, 1921, the son of Frank and Marie Kirby.
He was united in marriage to Norma Hutchison on Sept. 5, 1946. Jack proudly served his country as a 1st lieutenant in World War II. He was known as an avid woodworker who made 392 music stands. He also enjoyed tending to his 33 rosebushes. Jack greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and his four-legged friends.
Jack will be deeply missed by the love of his life, his wife, Norma; sons, Jack (Sandy) Kirby of South Milwaukee, Bill (Jo) Kirby of Wauwatosa and Dick (Lori) Kirby of Redondo Beach, Calif.; daughters, Roberta Kirby of Madison and Barbara Kirby of Dublin, Ireland; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, William Kirby of Cleveland; and sister, Rosemary Kopp of Brecksville, Ohio. Jack is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene; and sisters, Eleanor Kirby and Marge Haas.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
Donations to the family are appreciated to be donated to the charity of their choice at a later date.
