‘Peggy’ Gallagher Dec. 17, 1916 - Aug.
19, 2008 Marguerite “Peggy”
Gallagher passed peacefully into eternal light in the early morning of
Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, with her family at her side. Peggy was the beloved
wife of the late Edward “Bud” Gallagher and the loving mother of Diane
(Delbert) Holman of Grafton and John (Margaret) Gallagher of New
Brunswick, Canada. She is survived by her brother, John Svinicki of
Stevenson, Mich. Precious Peggy was the wonderful grandmother of Melanie
Mehling, Michele (Steven) Harris, Melinda Czajkowski, Jennifer Patterson
and Erin Gallagher. She was the loving great-grandmother of Madison,
Samuel, Arius, Colin and Thomas. Peggy is further survived by many other
wonderful nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in
death by her grandson, Darrin Gallagher, and eight brothers and sisters. Peggy was born in the
upper peninsula of Michigan and moved to the Milwaukee area when she was
18. She lived most of her life in Waukesha. She enjoyed a wonderful life
of traveling, bird watching, gardening and rock hunting. She was a medical
assistant for 35 years, and at one time served as the president of the
Medical Assistants Association. Peg’s family would
like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at LaSata Care
Center in Cedarburg for their wonderful care of her for the past 18
months. Due to the fact that
Peggy donated her body to the medical college, the family will be holding
a visitation at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. A celebration of life Mass will follow
at 7 p.m. (Freeman - Aug. 23,
