Jeanne R. (nee Lehr) King
June 1, 1922 - Aug. 18, 2008
Jeanne R. (nee Lehr) King, 86, of Waukesha, was born into heaven Monday, Aug. 18, 2008.
Jeanne was the youngest daughter of Congressman John C. and Anna (nee Ryan) Lehr of Monroe, Mich.
Jeanne will always be remembered for her love of her family and the simpler things in life. She always had a tune to sing or a silly joke to tell. Jeanne was always encouraging
others and looking at life with the glass half full. She loved to read and gain knowledge of all things. Jeanne was a Christian and showed this with her kindness, giving whatever she had to others, never being judgmental and always having a forgiving heart.
She will forever be in the hearts of her children, Gari King of Plymouth, Mich., Deborah Edwards of Dousman, Richard (Rose) King of Berkeley, Calif., Kathleen (Nic) Gengler of Waukesha and Robin (Nancy) King of East Pointe, Michigan, also her 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Jeanne in death were her father and mother; her beloved husband, Gari King Sr.; two sisters; and three brothers, of whom one was her twin, Jim Lehr.
No formal funeral service will be held. The family is having a private memorial.
Donations may be made in her name to Covenant House Organization, Times Square Station, P.O Box 731, New York, NY 10108-0900.
