Jessie ‘Lucile’ Brines

Jessie "Lucile" Brines of Waukesha, formerly of Fort Atkinson, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 89. She was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Galesburg, Ill., to Harry and Dolly Mae (nee Headon) Shriber.

On Oct. 12, 1939, she married Robert Brines in Aurora, Ill. Lucile was a former member of the Fort Atkinson Hospital Auxiliary and the Fort Atkinson Women’s Club. She participated in the many activities at Summit Woods. She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. She was very active in her daughters, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Susan (David) Eichelberger of Waterman, Ill., and Judith (James) Dreger of Waukesha, along with her grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Byford of Waterman, Jon (Ly VoDoan) Eichelberger of Los Angeles, Jennifer (Craig) Hauser of Waukesha and Jason (Katherine) Dreger of Mukwonago. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Mitchel, Abigail and Kayla Hauser and Natalie and Austin Dreger; sister-in-law, Peggy Shriber of Aurora; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, on Nov. 11, 1997; and four brothers.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Friday, Dec. 5, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road in Waukesha. Private family graveside services will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Aurora.
