Helen E. Beckmann

Helen E. Beckmann of Waukesha died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Virginia Health and Rehabilitation Center at age 95. She was born Dec. 31, 1912, in Waukesha, to Dennis and Helen (nee Shaw) Murray. On Oct. 16, 1933, she married Clyde W. Beckmann.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where she was active with the Christian Women. She devoted many years volunteering at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital from 1971 until 2002, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, the Waukesha County Courthouse in the information systems booth and for 10 years at the Waukesha County Health Department working in the flu clinic.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, James (Nancy) Beckman and Fred Beckmann, both of Waukesha; grandchildren, Patty (Craig) Winebrenner, Linda (John) Rankin, John Beckmann, Tammy Grauer and Robert (Patty) Beckmann; and great-grandchildren, Sara and Melissa Winebrenner, Michael and Amy Rankin, Danielle Grauer and Brittany, Trevor, Hailey and Hannah Beckmann. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Murray of Milwaukee, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, in 1971; brothers, James W., Paul and Robert Murray; sister, Madeline Goodwin Rafoth; sisters-in-law, Janet Murray and Dorothy Murray; and brothers-in-law, Bill Goodwin and Barth Rafoth.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Dec. 6, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
