Charles C. Vincent

Charles C. Vincent of Waukesha died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at his home at age 84. Charles was born April 14, 1924, in Carthage, S.D., the son of Charles and Minnie (nee Clarke).

He was a member of First Congregational Church in Waukesha. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. Charles was employed at Waukesha Motors for 42 years and was a Blue Lodge, Waukesha Lodge No. 37 Mason and a member of Chapter and Council.

Charles is survived by his two sisters, Virginia Conway of Waukesha and Shirley (Gerald) Petersen of Lake Jackson, Texas, and four brothers, Ronald (Sue) of Pewaukee, Morlin (Kathy) of Fort Worth, Texas, Kenneth of Waukesha and Donald of Waukesha. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Everal Jackson and Dorothy Radomski; and a brother, Elliott.

A graveside service for Charles will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, followed by military honors at Summit Cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Noffke will be officiating.
