Joan F. Carncross

Joan F. Carncross, 64, passed away peacefully at Lodi Good Samaritan Center on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, ending her 37-year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born March 5, 1944, the daughter of Floyd and Irma (nee Jones) Trimbell and she grew up in Dalton.

On May 4, 1968, she was united in marriage to Jerome Carncross.

Joan is survived by her husband, Jerry Carncross; a brother, John (Jinny) Trimbell; two children, Steven (Mary) Carncross and Sarah (Chris) Simmons; four grandchildren, Abigail, Julia and Paige Carncross and Brooke Simmons; and her father-in-law, William Carncross.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service Monday, Dec. 15, at Dekorra Lutheran Church (at the corner of Highway CS and Smith Road in rural Poynette). The Rev. Daniel Odden will officiate.
