John E. ‘Jack’ Fekete

John E. "Jack" Fekete, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at St. Luke's Medical Center at age 63. Jack was born Feb. 20, 1945, the son of John and Vivian (nee Martin).

He married the love of his life, Carol Dewar, on Oct. 26, 1968. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of St. William Catholic Church and retired from Cooper Power Systems after 37 years. Jack was an avid golfer and a well-known softball player in Waukesha. He was the proud owner of a 1989 Mustang convertible.

Jack will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Carol; children, Tricia (Toni) Fekete of Milwaukee, TJ (Nikki) Fekete of Kingsland, Ga., and Adam Fekete of Minneapolis; and brother, Larry (Sherri) Fekete of Waukesha. Jack is further survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until a 7:30 p.m. vigil service Monday, Dec. 15, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Leonard Barbian will be officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials in Jack's name may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
