Bill Beecher Of Waukesha died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at age 85. Bill was born Jan. 27, 1923, the son of Ray and Elizabeth Beecher.
He was united in marriage to Antonia "Vickie" (nee Ibarra) on Jan. 29, 1963. Bill was employed as the Dean of Business at WCTC for more than 20 years. He proudly served his country during World War II in Europe as a weather observer with the 9th Army Air Force. He enjoyed writing fiction and short stories, several of which were published. Bill was the recipient of the Wisconsin Regional Writers Association Jade Ring Award. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at sporting events. Billís greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his wit and charm.
Bill will be deeply missed by the love of his life, his wife, Vickie; sons, William (LaVonne) and Victor (Carol ); grandchildren, Emily, Sydney, Natalie, Isaac, Allie, Sean and Aaron; and sister, Caddie Jenkins. Bill is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Bill will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the 3:30 p.m. service Wednesday at the funeral home.
