Frances A. ĎFraní Haylett

Frances A. "Fran" Haylett, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Avalon Square at age 80. Fran was born in the town of Genesee on May 10, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Anna Haylett.

She grew up on a seven-generation farm where she built her home. Fran was a lifelong member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. She was a school teacher for 39 years, spending many of those years in the Waukesha School District. Fran was a past Worthy Matron and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ina J. Reid Chapter, the Racine/Kenosha Normal School Group, the Better Teachers Group, the Retired Wisconsin Educators Group, the Waukesha County Educators Group, where she was a past president, and Delta Kappa Gamma, ETA Chapter. She was also a volunteer for Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Fran loved children and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for the loving way she cared for everyone.

Fran will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews, Wayne (Doris) Haylett of Waukesha, Dean (Patty) Haylett of Orlando, Fla., David (Kim) Haylett of Schofield and Marianne (Kevin) Estes of Roswell, Ga., and her cousin, Mary Lu Rogers of Waukesha. Fran is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, William and Donald.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Order of the Eastern Star memorial service Saturday, Dec. 20, immediately followed by a funeral service officiated by the Rev. Keith Jones, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A private committal service will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
