L. Smith of Milwaukee, formerly of Waukesha, born Sept. 28, 1922, in the
township of Fairchild, passed away in Milwaukee on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008,
at age 86. Albert
was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Allis
Chalmers after 27 years of service. After retiring, he also worked at Mill
Valley Homes for 10 years. Albert enjoyed going to his property up north
in the town of Easton, just north of the Wisconsin Dells. He
is survived by his sons, Tim of Nekoosa and Todd of West Bend; his devoted
companion, Joyce Scheidt of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Samantha and Shawn;
brother, Jack (Shirley) of Montana; and nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. He
was preceded in death his siblings, Phyllis, Kenny, Wally, Elizabeth Lizzy,
Louis, Bud and Benny. Visitation
will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday,
Dec. 27, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at
highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.
Interment to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon, with full military
honors. Church
