Henry J. ‘Hank’ Hubacher

Henry J. "Hank" Hubacher, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Virginia Health & Rehabilitation Center at age 91. Hank was born July 31, 1917, the son of the late George and Margaret Hubacher.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. Hank enjoyed spending time with his family and was an animal lover, leaving behind his cat, Lucky.
Hank is survived by his brothers, John of Waukesha, Fred (Joyce) of Harshaw and Vincent of Waukesha; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Hank was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his parents; his sisters, Dorothy, Betty and Margaret; and his brothers, Frank and George.
A special thank you to Sue Harter and her sisters, Marty and Patty, for all the special things they did for Hank, and also to Dr. Kern for taking care of him for many years.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Dec. 28, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Burial will take place Monday, Dec. 29, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
