Lucille Ittner, 85, of Watertown, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 26, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Watertown. The former Lucille Maasch was born in Ashippun on June 10, 1923, daughter of Ernest and Esther (nee Kehl) Maasch.
On March 8, 1943, she married Reinhardt "Reiny" E. Ittner at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ashippun.
Lucille completed high school in Oconomowoc and had been employed as a secretary and in accounting for various companies.
She was a member of Our Savior Church in Oconomowoc, Beautiful Savior Church in Waukesha and most recently, a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown. Lucille was a very active volunteer for a variety of organizations.
Survivors include her son, Richard J. (Betty) Ittner of Madison; a daughter, Cathy Lou (Max) Pogainis of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Ruanna (Judd) Marsden of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Laura (Jeremiah) Marsden of Florida and Reuben, Serena and Lola Ittner, all of Madison; nieces, Debbie (Gary) Krueger, Nancy Wildes and Cindy Harshbarger; a nephew, Jim Rollert; a sister-in-law, Alicia Walters of California; her wonderful caregivers; a niece, Rosanne Schutte; and her cousins, Delores (Marv) Wegner and Joanne Millpointer.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Reinhardt "Reiny" Ittner, on July 13, 2006.
Visitation will be held from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Hafemeister Funeral Home, 611 E. Main St., Watertown, with Rev. Victor Tegtmeier officiating. Burial will take place in Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
