Sherla R. Menger

March 3, 1937 - Feb. 2, 2008

Sherla R. Menger of Waukesha passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was 70 years old.

Sherla was born March 3, 1937, in Waukesha, the daughter of Forrest and Hazel (nee Ortmann) Rudolph.

She was a retiree of Generac in Genesee. Sherla enjoyed crafting, but her real passion was taking care of her family.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Deborah) Menger of Waukesha, Jill (Brian) Olson of Oconomowoc and Kelly (Todd) Overgard of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Bradley, Christopher and Douglas Menger, Ellen, Benjamin and Lucas Olson, and Alex and Marli Overgard; two great-grandchildren, James and Charlie Menger; her brothers and sisters, Gerald Rudolph, Judith (Eugene) Coggon, Karl (Barb) Rudolph, Patricia Horner, Conrad (Karen) Rudolph, Gene (Sue) Rudolph, Dennis (Darlene) Rudolph, Thomas (Kathy) Rudolph, Gregory (Becky) Rudolph, Darlene (Ted) Ahrendt and Scott (Connie) Rudolph; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; two brothers, Junior and Robert Rudolph; and a sister, Barb Rudolph.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Paul Dawson will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in East Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vernon Lutheran Church, Mukwonago, would be appreciated.
