Vivian M. Bucher

Vivian M. Bucher of Mukwonago passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008. She was 76. Vivian was born May 27, 1931, in Atlanta, Miss., the daughter of Edgar and Elva (nee Freely) Harrell.

Vivian was known as the "Gambling Grandma," and she always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

She is survived by her beloved children, James Barkley, Debbie (Richard) McKenzie and Wayne Jr. (JoAnn) Barkley; her stepchildren, Joseph (Beth) Bucher, Kathy Bohn and Mary (Russ) Wright; her loving grandchildren, Kelly and Jacob McKenzie and Jennifer, Wayne, Kimberly and Michael Barkley; her loving friend, Wayne Barkley Sr.; two sisters, Nell and Lucille; and stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Bucher; two brothers, Charles and Floyd; and a stepson-in-law, John Bohn.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Feb. 10, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Wayne Meier will officiate. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at St. Peterís Cemetery, East Troy. Please meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a funeral procession to the cemetery.
