Betty Mae Ainslie (nee Fisher)

Betty Mae Ainslie (nee Fisher), 91, of Minnetonka, Minn., and recently of Sparta, Port Charlotte, Fla., Waukesha and Arlington Heights, Ill., was born July 19, 1916, in Cleveland, and died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008.
Betty graduated from Ohio State University in 1938 with a degree in journalism and wrote a column for 17 years in the Arlington Heights Herald.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Fred, who died Nov. 15, 2007.
Betty is survived by her children, Diane (Bob) Diederich, Michael (Kathryn), Thomas (Flo) and Bill; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial and visitation were held Friday, Feb. 8, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka. Private family interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association, 5100 Gamble Drive, Suite 394, St. Louis Park, MN 55416, for Camp Needlepoint.
