Dr. Alvin ‘Al’ J. Asby

Dr. Alvin "Al" J. Asby of New Berlin died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at his home at age 78. He was born Aug. 6, 1929, the son of Alvin John and Josephine (nee Lynch) Asby in Racine.

He was a private practice dentist in Big Bend for 45 years.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Kim Lemmer-Asby of New Berlin; his children, Michael (Corky) Asby of Eagle, Carolyn (Dave) Krafcheck of Palmyra and Joe (Lura) Asby of East Troy, along with their mother, Ann Stelzner; his fourteen grandchildren, Alana (Josh), Maggie (Eric), Joe, Abigail, Grace, twins Hannah and Ruth, Charles, Bryan, John, Mary, James, Rebecca and Joshua; and his great-grandchild, Ian. He is further survived by his sister, Lois Dominick of Upland, Calif., along with other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Cathryn Vosika.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. A private family burial will be held at Westlawn Cemetery in Racine.
