Janice June Wright

Janice June Wright, 88, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, Minn. She was born Feb. 1, 1920, to Chancey and Anna (nee Stenerson) Van Gelder in Chetek.
She graduated from Chetek High School and the University of Wisconsin. On Feb. 14, 1942, she married Wilson L. Wright in Waukesha. Janice worked as a home economist for Chicago Natural Gas in Chicago and as an registered dietician in the New Berlin public school system. She lived most of her life on the family farm in rural Waukesha. After her husband died, she moved to Chatfield. She was a church member in Wisconsin and Michigan. Janice enjoyed reading and walking.
Survivors include a son, William (Sandra) Wright of Chatfield; a daughter, Susan Wright of Chatfield; two grandchildren, Barbara Wright and Gregory (Jill) Wright; and two great-grandsons, Alex and Evan Wright, all of Chatfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Feb. 19, at Riley Funeral Home, 800 S. Main St., Chatfield. Local visitation will be held from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Feb. 21, at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. David Ellis and the Rev.William W. Humphreys will be officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Waukesha.
