Genevieve M. Lurvey

Feb. 8, 1920 - Feb. 20, 2008

Genevieve M. Lurvey of the town of Summit went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008. She was born Feb. 8, 1920, the daughter of the late Ervin and Lavina (nee Longley) Miller.

Genevieve married Conrad Lurvey on June 19, 1941, in Dousman. She was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa and active in many of the church activities. She was also active in the Avalon Manor Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of the Dousman community and active in many of the local charities.

Genevieve will be sadly missed by her husband, Conrad; daughter, Lois (Jim Stetter) Conway of Brookfield; son, Steven (Kay) of Dousman; daughter-in-law, Theresa of California; four grandchildren, Ramona, Eric, Shane and Dawn; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marian Pike of the town of Summit and Judy Lurvey of Dousman. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Private funeral services will be held with burial at Summit cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at First Presbyterian Church of Ottawa on the corner of highways C and D.
