Karen A. Blasing

Karen A. Blasing found peace Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at age 36. She was born Feb. 8, 1972, the daughter of Clive E. and Alice E. "Bette" Blasing.

Karen graduated from Mukwonago High School and Carroll College. She was an accomplished cellist and had many varied interests. She was involved in the animal rescue group Basset Buddies Rescue Inc. Karen was employed as a business analyst at Mercy Care Health Plans in Janesville.

Karen is survived by her parents, Clive E. and Bette Blasing of Wales; her sister, Diane E. Blasing, and her companion, Brian Elder; her aunt, Anne L. Blasing of Boulder, Colo., and her companion, Susan Schmidt. Karen also is survived by her former husband, Jeff Bauer, and by friends and co-workers.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service Monday, Feb. 25, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Springfield Union Cemetery in Walworth Township, in rural Lake Geneva.
