Cynthia ‘Cindy’ A. Schwulst

Cindy A. Schwulst, 43, of Waukesha, lost her courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. She was born Aug. 25, 1964, in New London, the daughter of David L. and Karen J. (nee Hutchison) Eckhart.

While attending Ripon High School, she competed at the state level in track and field. Cindy was united in marriage to Timothy W. Schwulst in 1999. She was a certified volunteer firefighter in Big Flats and was also employed at PMC Plastics in Eagle for eight years. She had a great love of the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing and snowmobiling with her husband, and spending weekends in St. Germain. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed collecting Packers memorabilia.

Cindy will be sadly missed by her husband, Tim, of Waukesha; her mother, Karen Eckhart of Hancock; her brothers and sisters, Deborah E. (Peter) Scavotto of Falmouth, Mass., Barbara J. (Joseph) Flatt of Appleton, David J. (Becky) Eckhart of Nekoosa, Martin J. Eckhart of Minneapolis and Amanda J. Eckhart of Kaukauna. She is further survived by five nieces and nephews, Patric, Madison, Allie, Jedediah and Victoria; mother-in-law, Karen J. Schwulst of Waukesha; and sister-in-law, Connie (Jeff) Whittaker of Milwaukee.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Eckhart, in 1988.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. vigil service Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. Highway 59, Waukesha. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
