Kenneth D. Rittenhouse
Kenneth D. Rittenhouse, 54, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at his home in Springfield, Mo.
We enjoyed his warmth and sense of humor for a fully lived 54 years. He was born in Portsmouth, Va., spent most of his childhood in Fort Wayne, Ind., and his teen years in Middleton.
Ken reveled in the beauty of simple living. He and his wife, Pat (Hornak), enjoyed life’s adventures together for more than 32 years, traveling the four corners of the United States and so many states in between. He loved pizza and bluegrass music. Trout cowered behind boulders when they saw Ken approaching with his fly fishing rod.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Doris, and his father, Ken.
He is survived by his wife; his brother, Bart; and his many loving relatives and dear friends who will miss him and look forward to a grand reunion in heaven.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial service Saturday, March 1, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
