Walter W. Pladies Jr.

Walter W. Pladies Jr., 67, of Mukwonago, went home to be with his savior Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at LindenGrove in Mukwonago. Walter was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 18, 1940, the son of Walter Sr. and Anna (nee Moser) Pladies.

Walter was a member of the Steamfitters Local 601 and a longtime mechanical contractor. He was a member of the Big Bend-Vernon Lionís Club and served on various committees for the town of Vernon. Walter was also an avid outdoorsman, a hunter safety instructor for more than 40 years and a member of the Southeastern Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years, Charlotte (nee Stocks); his loving children, Erika of Helenville, Tim (Ginger) of Mukwonago and Tony (Kindra) of New Berlin; his dear grandchildren, Kenedee, Evan, Connor, Maycee and Sophee; his brother, Richard (Kathy) of Crivitz; and many other treasured relatives and friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Monday, Jan. 7, at Mukwonago Baptist Church, 1610 Honeywell Road. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Baptist Memorial Cemetery, Honeywell Road. Please meet at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Regional Cancer Center at Waukesha Memorial Hospital or to the Lionís Club Eye Bank are appreciated.

The family would like to thank Dr. LeMarbre and his nurses, Natalie, Debbie and Tammy, and all the caregivers at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the LindenGroves in New Berlin and Mukwonago for their compassionate care during Walter's recent illness.
