Lillian D. Buechler Stetz

Lillian D. Buechler Stetz died peacefully in her home in Dunnellon, Fla., on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008.

She moved to Boca Raton, Fla., from Pewaukee, where she served as president of the St. Mary’s Christian Mothers Society and as the senior counselor of United Commercial Travelers Association. She was also a Girl Scout leader and member of the Women’s Club. In Boca Raton, she was a volunteer for 20 years at the Mae Volen Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Paul Stetz; her parents, Harry J. and Mayme Buechler; and her sister, Mary Ann Rohrbach.

She is survived by her daughter, M.E. DePalma-Ford of Wilton Manors, Fla.; son, William Stetz of Dunnellon; grandchildren, Paul P. DePalma of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Pamela L. DePalma of New York, N.Y., and Alex Stetz of Dunnellon; sister-in-law, Lydia Thorstensen of Boca Raton; nieces, Donna Mordini of Lake Bluff, Ill., Terri Lipp of Boca Raton and Susan Fusco of Bayfield, Colo.; and nephew, William J. Rohrbach of Houston.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Babione Funeral Home (east chapel), 1100 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW Third St., Boca Raton, FL, (561) 392-0007.
