Hattie F. Betzler

Hattie F. Betzler, 99, of Friendship, formerly of Waukesha, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at the Moundview Memorial Extended Care in Friendship. Hattie was born May 21, 1908, in Russia, to Julius and Amaila (Wangrofske) Gerstler.
She moved her with family when she was 16 to Milwaukee from Germany. She married Charles G. Betzler on Oct. 17, 1930, in Milwaukee. Hattie moved to Adams County in 1992.
Hattie enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and attending church. Hattie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Waukesha.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Robert) Kranich of Arkdale; brother, Paul Gerstler of Waukesha; grandchildren, Cheryl (Robb) Steinman of Waukesha, Pamela (James) Stukel of Jackson, Debra (Curt Zyla) Murphy of Waukesha, Robert Kranich Jr. of Mukwonago and Debbie (Bill) Brownrig of Waukesha; great-grandchildren, Ericka (Kurt) Moeller of Milwaukee, Jennifer Lambert of Waukesha, Eric Steinman of Milwaukee, Andrew Steinman of Waukesha, Erica Probest of Waukesha, Jon Stukel of Jackson, Cristina Pazzino of Hartland, Gina Zyla of Waukesha, Nicholas Brownrig of Waukesha, Anthony Pazzino of Hartland and Sonny Pazzino of Hartland; sister-in-law, Mary Gerstler of River Rouge, Mich.; and two nephews, David (Jan) Gerstler of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Joseph Gerstler of River Rouge.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; son, Danial; sisters, Rosie and Nancy; brothers, Rudy and Danial; and a daughter-in-law, Shirley Betzler.
Visitation will be held from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 17, at the First Assembly of God Church in Waukesha. The Rev. Verne Hagenbeck will officiate. Interment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
