Harvey W. Zimdars

Harvey W. Zimdars of Pewaukee died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Heartland Health Care of Pewaukee at age 91. Harvey was born in Waukesha on Nov. 21, 1916, the son of William and Matilda Zimdars.

He married Mildred Leeder on Oct. 26, 1940. Harvey was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and served as president of the church council. He retired from Waukesha Foundry in 1981 after 45 years of employment as a manager of sales engineering. Harvey served on the Delafield Town Board of Directors and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and was an avid football and baseball fan.

Harvey will be sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Mildred; his daughters, Katherine (Clyde) Robinson of Palatine, Ill., and Carol (fiance Gordy Austin) Patzer of Pewaukee; his grandchildren, Nathan (Sara), Bradley and Chris Robinson, Jodi (Charles) Emery and James (Heather) and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Patzer; and his cousins, Kenneth (Carol) and Gordon Zimdars.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 24, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. James Gorman and the Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Harveys name may be directed to the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ Building Fund, 1220 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.
