Earl H. Knorr

Earl H. Knorr, 85, of Waukesha, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.

Earl served in the Army Medical Corps with the 32nd Division during World War II, where he also played the saxophone in the military band. He sang in many church choirs throughout his life. Earl continued his love for singing as he became a founding member of the Brookfield Highlands Ambassadors of Harmony, of which he was a member for more than 10 years.

He is survived by two sons, James (Susan) and Donal (Carolyn); four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Casi), Krista (Tanis) Capps, Stephanie (Matthew) Cook and Alyssa Knorr; one great-grandson, Jacob Capps; his sister, Mae Vangsness; and his beloved friend, Jean Ruzicka. He is also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 3:30 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Jan. 26, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield. Private entombment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association are appreciated.
