Kurt Boris Amidzich Sr.

Kurt Boris Amidzich Sr., born July 29, 1942, a son of Boris and Mary Amidzich, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

He was a passionate chef, beloved friend, husband, father and grandfather. Kurt enjoyed sharing the many flavors of life through his culinary talents and humor.

For many years, Kurt was the featured chef at Sally’s restaurant (formerly located in the Knickerbocker Hotel in Milwaukee). In recent years, Kurt’s legacy continued at his son’s establishment, Kurt’s Steakhouse, where father and son shared their passion for fine cuisine.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Jan; brother, Bradford; children, Kim (Ed), Kelly (Chris) and Kurt Jr. (Fonda); stepchildren, Skip (Diane) and Renee (Gary); grandchildren, Kristin, Michele, Daniel, Erika, Rachel, Evan and Sarah, Danica, Garrett, Krystal and Alyssa; as well as many, many dear friends.
