Adeline M. Winkelman (nee Yench)

Adeline M. Winkelman (nee Yench) of Suring, formerly of Hartland, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at age 80.

She was born in the town of Lisbon to parents Matthew and Mabel (nee Kerr) Yench and graduated from Hartland High School in 1944. She married Rudolph Winkelman in 1947 and together made their home in Dousman until moving back to Hartland in 1955. She worked for Northview Mental Hospital in Waukesha County from 1964 until 1989 when she retired to Suring. Adeline loved traveling, crocheting, doing needlework and working on her computer.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 60 years, Rudy, and her children, Robert (Chris) Winkelman of Oconomowoc, Sharon (Augie) Wilde of Hartland, Carol (Dennis) Martins of Hartland, Rudy (Tammy) Winkelman of Green Bay and Cheryl (Tim) Fuerbringer of West Bend. She is further survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy (Robert) Maule of Dousman; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Shirley Nelson; and her brother, Donald Yench.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave, Hartland. Burial will be Thursday, Jan. 31, in the Hartland Village Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donorís choice in Adelineís name.
