George Thiesenhusen of Waukesha passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at age 83. He was born in Waukesha.
George was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9537 of Pewaukee.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Frances (nee Lombardo); loving father of Paula (Fred) Galten, Georgene (Rick) Iverson, Thomas (Sheryl), Pamela (Patrick) Mueller, Glenn (Peggi) and Craig (Shannon); dear brother of Orville (Margot); proud grandpa of Brad (Tanya), Becky (fiance Brad), Jessica (Nick), Sam, Eric (Kari), Lauren, Max, Molly, Isabella, Ian, Savannah and Cole; and great-grandpa of Taylor, Reilly and Bo. He is also survived by his special canine friend, Cubbe, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his special canine friend, Chester.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, with services at 7:30 p.m., at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Friday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
