Roland George Jensen

Roland George Jensen of Waukesha died at CareAge of Brookfield on Monday, June 30, 2008, at age 92. Roland was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Saukville, the son of George and Ida Jensen.

Roland was a musician who could play every instrument. He was a member of the Polka Boys.

Roland will be sadly missed by his wife, Gretchen; children, Sally Tolbert of New Berlin and David (Patricia) Jensen of Wauwatosa; his daughter-in-law, Carole Jensen of Waukesha; grandchildren, Brian and Brenda Tolbert and Jill, Jack and Craig Jensen; and great-grandchildren, Ali Gill and Katya, Pieter, Lauren, Nicholas, Aidan and Derek Jensen; and his sister, Jeanette Jensen of Waukesha. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roland was preceded in death by his son, Jack; parents; and a brother, Dewey.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, July 3, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. The Rev. Gary Liedtke will be officiating. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Prairie Home Cemetery.
