David A. ‘Dak’ Knuth

Sept. 13, 1982 - July 5, 2008

David A. "Dak" Knuth of Pewaukee passed away suddenly surrounded by family at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at age 25. David was employed at Machinery Service and Design in Pewaukee.

He was the loving son of David C. Knuth and Terry (Dave) Charpentier; fond brother of Candy (Dave) Fiala; beloved grandson of Ellen Schlesner and Jackie Vieth; dear nephew of Sharon Kaatz, Ron (Kathy) Knuth, Barbara (John) Karr, Kathy (Tony) Losiniecki, Tammy (Mark) Slyvester, Tom (Kim) Vieth and Mike (Beth) Vieth; and fond uncle of Kassidy Streckel and Cade Fiala. He is further survived by his very special and loving four-legged friend, Lacey; friend, Hailey Nelson; and other relatives and many, many friends.

His grandfathers, Bill Schlesner and David Vieth, and uncle, William "Bubby" Knuth, preceded David in death.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, July 9, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. The Rev. Peter Peterson will be officiating. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pewaukee. Please meet at the cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone in the intensive care unit of Waukesha Memorial Hospital for all of the care and compassion given.

Dak was a hero in that in his death he went on to save other lives through the donation of his organs.
