Roy E. Klussendorf

Roy E. Klussendorf, 83, of rural Wausaukee, formerly of Waukesha, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. Roy was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Waukesha, the son of William and Bertha (nee Keibel) Klussendorf.

He served in the U.S. Army. On Sept. 2, 1952, he married the former Dolores Zawacki. Roy had been employed as an auto mechanic for the Waukesha County park system until his retirement in 1982, at which time they moved to the Wausaukee area. Roy enjoyed working in his garden and making woodworking projects for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children, Bill (Marlene) of Coleman, Rick (Sharon) of Wausaukee, Sue (Butch) Mech of Wallace, Mich., Mary (John) Barnhart of Waukesha, Dawn (Alan) Weiting of Crivitz and Kathy (Tom) Johnson Jr. of Waukesha; eight grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, with another due in December; 29 great-stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-great-stepgrandchildren with two more due in July. He is further survived by a sister, Margaret Bayley of Lancaster, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and Ralph Klussendorf; two sisters, Gladys Scheel and Ruth Vick; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clarence Scheel, Raymond Vick Sr., Florence Klussendorf, Virginia Klussendorf and Wallace Bayley.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, July 12, at the home of his daughter Mary (John) Barnhart, W302-S1617 Brandybrook Road, Waukesha.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
