Mary K. ‘Sis’ Koch

July 29, 1925 - July 18, 2008

Mary K. "Sis" (nee Rogan) Koch, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, July 18, 2008, at St. Mary’s Care Center of complications of Parkinson’s disease. She was born in Waukesha on July 29, 1925, to William James and Lucy (Davies) Rogan.

She married Eugene M. Koch of Waunakee on May 31, 1952.

Mary is survived by four children, Mary Lou (Rick) Santovec of Jefferson, Ruth (Greg) Frank of Waterford, Ellen (Dennis) Zempel of Winona, Minn., and attorney Steve (Shelley) Koch of Delavan. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Ceranske of Milwaukee, Andrew and Charles Nohr of Waterford, and Alexander and Zachary Koch of Delavan; as well as one great-granddaughter, Maya Ceranske of Milwaukee. She is further survived by two stepgranddaughters, Ana (Matt) Nicholson of Waukesha and Alicia Frank of Waterford; one stepgreat-grandson, Liam Nicholson; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Rogan of Waukesha, Grace Rogan of Bellingham, Wash., Sylvia Rogan of Marshfield, Betty Rogan of Brookfield, Betty Laufenberg of Waunakee, Barbara (Harold) Carlson of Waunakee, Mercedes Daentl of Mazomanie; and her brother-in-law, Jim (Dorothy) Koch of Waunakee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, in 2000, and her brothers, William D., James, John, Paul, Robert, Mark and Howard.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral services Tuesday, July 22, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 5460 Mary Lake Road, Westport. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery.
