Rosemary Brazeau of Waukesha died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at LindenGrove in Waukesha at age 85.
Rosemary was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Waukesha, and was very active in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, or RSVP. She joined in 1981 and continued volunteering until 2004. In that time, she accumulated 23,000 hours of volunteering at places such as Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center, in the Waukesha School system tutoring at Hadfield, Rose Glen, Summit View and Mill Valley schools, the Waukesha Civic Theatre, the American Cancer Society and March of Dimes. She participated in the RSVP Guardianship Program, the Peer Support Program and the Needlecraft Program. She often volunteered for clerical work at RSVP, the Business Improvement District office in Waukesha and the Waukesha Police Department. The Literacy Council and Ranch Community Service Center were also places Rosemary volunteered.
Rosemary is lovingly remembered by her children, David (Geralyn) Brazeau of Oswego, Ill., Steven Brazeau of Waukesha and Gail Garcia of Saumico; grandchildren, Jeremy, Lisa, Heather, Colin, Carrie, Jenny, Rico and Jimmy; and brother-in-law, Don Thorson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 4, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, with the Rev. Leonard Barbian officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, 1901 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, WI 54901.
