Jean L. Moyer

Sept. 7, 1922 - June 6, 2008

Jean L. Moyer, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Friday, June 6, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 85. Jean was born Sept. 7, 1922, the daughter of the late Edward and Olga Baumgartner.

She was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ. Jean and her husband, Russell, were farmers in Waukesha for many years. They were members of the Waukesha Guernsy Breeders, the State Guernsey Breeders, and in 1980, they were the proud recipients of the Century Farm Award. Jean enjoyed bowling, spending time in her flower gardens, watching birds and her dog.

Jean will be sadly missed by her sister, Lucille Gygax; brothers-in-law, Art Moyer and Perry (Dorothy) Moyer; close relatives, LeRoy (Mary) Gygax, Gerold (Marla) Gygax, Ralph (Beverly) Gygax, Joan (Bruce) Spicer, Rhonda Robbins and Dave (Pat) Baumgartner. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, on Sept. 11, 2005; and her brother-in-law, Roy Gygax

A visitation for Jean will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Prairie Home Cemetery.
