Morgan ‘Butch’ A. Fletcher Jr.

Morgan "Butch" A. Fletcher Jr., age 72 of the town of Vernon, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008. He was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Waukesha to Morgan and Evelyn (Wessner) Fletcher. On Dec. 26, 1956, he married Kay Lantz in Pukwana, S.D.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He then worked as an operating engineer for approximately 25 years, followed by owning and operating Troy Sanitary Services with his wife for 10 years.

Morgan is survived by his wife, Kay D. Fletcher, of the town of Vernon; one daughter, Teresa K. (Gary) Putman of Saratoga, Calif.; and two sons, Steve H. Fletcher and Paul R. (Kelly) Fletcher, both of East Troy. He was the fond brother of his sisters, Pat Noble of Phoenix and Diane Taylor of Lutz, Fla.; his brothers, Jack Fletcher of Spring Hill, Fla., and Floyd (Charlene) Fletcher of Riverview, Fla. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ryan, Randy and Rochelle Fletcher; Travis, Ashley and Brittany Putman; Lindsey Fletcher; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky; and brother, Ronald. Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, June 17, at Schmidt & Bartelt Van Valin Funeral and Cremation Services, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. Final rest will be at Vernon Center Cemetery.
