Christy Rozner, 58, of Plainfield, entered eternal rest Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Wild Rose Manor. She was born March 20, 1950, in St. Louis, to Sumner and Florice (nee Koehler) Bowers.
Christy attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She taught music at Tri-County High School, after which she was employed by the State of Wisconsin as an agricultural enumerator. She married Louis Rozner on July 4, 1984, in Waupaca, on the Big Chief Paddleboat on the Chain of Lakes.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; sons, Nathan (Lynn) Cox of Menomonee Falls and Joshua Rozner of Plainfield; daughter, Kelly Cox of Stevens Point; stepsons, Louis (Patti) Rozner of Plover and Michael Rozner of Rudolph; stepdaughters, Ann Rozner of Rudolph and Liz (Richard) Atkinson of Brownsville, Texas; mother, Florice Bowers of Oconomowoc; sisters, Barb (Steve) Rome of Delafield and Pam (Kirk) Wuerfel of Oconomowoc; granddaughter, Natalie Cox; nieces, Sarah (Chris) Hansen and Hannah Wuerfel; and a nephew Nicholas Wuerfel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sumner "Bud" Bowers.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Gasperic Funeral Home in Plainfield, and from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service Monday, June 23, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Almond.
