Mildred M. Steinbring

Sept. 19, 1921 - June 22, 2008

Mildred M. Steinbring (nee Nettesheim), formerly Mildred M. Pope, of the town of Lisbon, was born to eternal life Sunday, June 22, 2008, at age 86.

Millie was a resident of Shorehaven Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Pewaukee and Lake Keesus garden clubs, the Pewaukee Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxiliary and the Quilter’s Club.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roger W. Steinbring and the late John W. Pope; loving mother of Beverly (Vincent "Stan") Dittman, Jean (Joseph) Dunn, James (Rosanne) Pope, John "Jack" (Marlene) Pope, Mary (Gary) Bosshard, Raymond (Pam) Pope, Gary (Wendy Stewart) Pope and Tim (Jonelle) Pope; special grandma of Ken (Becky) Dittman, Kay (Les) Vertz, Michael (Geri Lin) Dunn, Krista Dunn, Colleen Dunn, Jim Pope, David (Heidi) Pope, Shelley (John Paul) Mesching, DeAnn (Mike) Keller, Don Bosshard, Darren Bosshard, Dana (fiance Matt Pagach) Zilmer, Angie (Doug) Burke, Carmen (Matt Hanson) Pope, Carrie (Al) Kayser, Eric Pope and Laurie (Chris) Bailey; great-grandma of 32 and great-great-grandma of four; and the loving friend of Chris and Bob Des Jardin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George "Pappy" and Hattie (nee Steele) Nettesheim.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. vigil service Thursday, June 26, at Schmidt & Bartelt A.A. Schmidt & Sons Funeral Home, W250-N6505 Highway 164, Sussex. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280-N2101 Highway SS, town of Delafield, with the Rev. Joseph Hornacek presiding. Burial to follow at Lisbon Merton Union Cemetery.
