Daniel C. DeStefano of Waukesha died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at his Waukesha home at age 72. He was born July 24, 1935, in Waukesha, to Dan and Ann (nee Abfall) DeStefano.

Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was an alumni of Catholic Memorial High School. He had worked for the state of Wisconsin and Waukesha Foundry, retiring in 1993. He was co-owner of Danny’s Tap on Main Street in Waukesha. He had lived at the Mountain Village apartments for the past 14 years. Dan was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports.

Dan is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Bill) Hoffman of Waukesha; nephew, Marc (Maureen) Hoffman of Waukesha; niece, Wendy (Ted) Maus of Brookfield; great-nieces, Laura and Victoria Hoffman of Waukesha; great-nephews, Bill and Matthew Maus of Brookfield; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, March 15, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
