Albert J. Schroeder
Albert J. Schroeder, 85, died Monday, March 10, 2008. He was born in Waukesha to parents Edward and Emma Schroeder.
He was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marines for 3 1Ú2 years during World War II. He worked for Dixon Oil and retired from Grede Foundry as a foreman. He was a 57-year member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ. He loved bowling and golf, and was a member of the Brookridge Golf Association in Florida.
He married Maxine Stordock in 1987 and they moved to Brookridge, Fla., from Pewaukee.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia (nee Hoeft); brothers, Fred Jones, Edward and Melvin Schroeder; and sister, Alvira Knutson.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (James) Bloedow and Donna Stordock; sons, John (Annie) Schroeder, Scott (Jaymie) Schroeder, Richard Stordock and William (Michelle) Stordock; brother, Donald; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service Sunday, March 16, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
