Bennie D. Ellis

Bennie Donald Ellis of Watertown died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at age 75. He was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Kentucky, to Lloyd and Helen (nee Neville) Ellis.

Bennie was a car salesman in the Milwaukee area for more than 40 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Shirley (nee Boyle) on Dec. 26, 1999, in Waukesha. He was a member of Elmbrook Church in Elmbrook.

Bennie is survived by his wife, Shirley Ellis of Watertown; sons, Gerald (Sharon) Ellis and Stephen Ellis of Seminole, Fla.; a grandson, Michael; a brother, Larry (Patty) Ellis of North Carolina; and a sister, Diane (Ed) Floden of Louisville, Ky. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, March 20, at Pederson Funeral Home, 213 S. Fifth St., Watertown. Internment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
