Robert W. Dailey Sr.

March 1, 1935 - March 22, 2008

Robert W. Dailey Sr. of Mukwonago passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 73. Robert was born March 1, 1935, in Greenfield, the son of Lowell and Doretta (nee Randall) Dailey.

Robert attended Mukwonago High School. On April 23, 1960, he married Dorothy Houk at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Eagle.

Robert worked at Kearney & Trecker in Milwaukee for 27 years, and in 2000, he retired from A.B. & B. Robotics in New Berlin.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Robert loved to play cards, hunt and fish, and also enjoyed playing Santa Claus around the Mukwonago area.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; his children, Robin Richard of Mukwonago, Robert Jr. (Teresa) Dailey of Glen Flora, Brenda Mules of Glendale, Ariz., and Marie (Terry) Kortman of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Justin Richard, Angela Burki, Christina (Dustin) Rutgers, Stefanie Dailey, Robert W. Dailey III, Miranda (Freddie) Gabow and Michael Hamp; two great-granddaughters, Hailey Richard and Alexis Gabow; a brother, William (Theresa) Dailey of Mukwonago; five sisters, Virginian Rath of Mukwonago, Iris Rath of Mukwonago, Judy (Larry) Gaffner of Queen Creek, Ariz., Vernie Campbell of Waukesha and Linda (Al) Galkowski of Mukwonago; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jack, Doug and Larry Dailey; a sister, Dawn Schleicher; and a grandson, Ryan Richard.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial Mass on Thursday, March 27, all at St. James Catholic Church, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago. The Rev. Francis Malloy will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
